Buying Chametz After Pesach

• All RCC-supervised establishments have sold their Chometz and one may buy from them after Pesach.

It has been determined that one may buy Chometz from the following supermarkets /outlets:

  • Albertson’s
  • Big lots
  • Bristol Farms
  • Coffee Bean (Mechirah via Kosher LA, Rabbi Benzaquen)
  • Costco
  • CVS
  • Erewhon
  • Food 4 Less
  • Gelson’s
  • Kmart
  • Longs drugs
  • Ralphs /Kroger
  • Rite Aid
  • Safeway
  • Sam’s Club
  • Seven Eleven
  • Smart and Final
  • Smith’s
  • Target
  • Trader Joe’s
  • Vons /Pavilions
  • Walgreens
  • Wal-Mart
  • Whole Foods Markets
  • 99 Cent only stores
  • We are looking into  Jetro / Restaurant Depot (last year a Mechirah was done thru the Kof-K)

Additionally, a Mechirah was done for the following establishments*:

  • Nuts & More
  • Elat Market
  • Bargain City on Pico
  • Sadaf / Soofer Company
  • Wine & Liquor Depot
  • West Pico Foods

We have no information on other area markets that have no official Hashgacha.
