Dear Community,
I am sad to inform you of the passing of a very special person in our community, Yaron Zarum (Yaron ben Chaim z"l).
I came to know Yaron and his wife, Yocheved, because they did a most remarkable mitzvah a few years ago. They took in a child from Friendship Circle who was detained by DCFS and was going to be placed in a random foster home somewhere in the county or beyond.
Yaron used to sit towards the front of our shul, and David would walk around smiling at people and drinking seltzer. Yaron became ill and passed away last night, of 'Yene Machla' in Phoenix, Arizona.
Friendship Circle is collecting funds to help Yocheved pay for transporting his body, the Kevura, Chevra Kadisha fees, and so on. Please open up your hearts and make a donation on our website. Please write in the memo: Yaron.
