  • This Monday night the shiur with Rabbi Shimon Raichik on Shabbos and Yomtov Food Preparation (the fourth of the six-week course) will take place at a different venue: the home of Etty Bastomski, 418 N. Fuller. Class starts at 8:00 pm and goes to 9:00 pm. All women are urged to participate in this vital class. 
  • The 3rd shiur of the course by Rabbi Shimon Raichik in the halachos of Tzedaka and Maser for men will take place Wednesday, 26 Cheshvan/October 30, in shul, 8:00 pm chavrusa learning, 8:40 Shiur. Click here for more info. Topics to be discussed:
    • Must one borrow money to give Tzedakah?
    • I charged less to tutor someone; may I recoup the loss with Ma’aser money?
    • I don’t have enough money to cover my own expenses; may I use my Ma’aser?
  • Hachnassat Kallah of Los Angeles is having a special event on Sunday evening, 23 Cheshvan/Oct. 27. Click here for more info. We encourage all to join!! 
  • The Shidduch Network is making a kiddush on Shabbos Parshas Toldos in honor of all those who need a shidduch. The list of people needing a shidduch will be read at the Ohel. If you would like to participate, please drop off a $18.00 check payable to Congregation Levi Yitzhak at 462 N. McCadden Pl. Please include all the names that you wish to sponsor for the kiddush. Mrs. Chana Rachel Schusterman will be speaking on shidduchim. 
  • The annual “Walk 4 Friendship” and festival will take place Sunday, 7 Kislev/November 10 at Rancho Park. Click here for more info.
