To all candidates and interested parties,
Thank you in advance for your commitment and dedication to joining Magen Am. We are committed to protecting our community by providing prudent and responsible security measures and training. This is accomplished by harnessing the power of teamwork in tandem with the dedication and commitment of our members. From this point forward, we will hold each other accountable to a higher standard.
This email serves as your primer for the orientation and initial theory based class taking place this Sunday. We will begin by reviewing course expectations, costs, and the training schedule. We will then continue with the beginning of the educational section. Every candidate considering the course may join for the orientation. To continue, candidates must provide a signed candidate letter and completed application no later than Tuesday, August 6th.
Although we expect all candidates to make every effort to be present on Sunday, we understand this may not be possible. Anyone who cannot make this class, will need to schedule a makeup prior to continuing with any additional training.
By replying to this email, please list the gear (Make/Model of range bag, holster, mag pouch, ear pro, et al) and firearms that you currently possess as we are compiling our gear purchase orders. We will also begin scheduling appointments for psych evaluations and will start running background checks. We therefore need to collect the first payment installment to cover these costs. Installments are expected to be made monthly.
This Sunday's class will take place in the Pico/Robertson area. The exact address will be shared to those who confirm their registration.
We will begin promptly at 4:00pm (16:00) and expect to finish at 9:30pm (21:30). As this is not a short class, we suggest that you bring a snack and water. The class will be in a lecture format. We encourage people who have gear to bring it with. However - FIREARMS are NOT permitted in this class. (LEO/CCW excepted.)
